Cleaning
Standard professional cleaning is included in your hire price. Simply place your garment back into the prepaid return satchel provided, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Please do not attempt to wash, dry clean, iron, steam, or alter garments yourself, as incorrect treatment may cause irreversible damage. All garments are professionally cleaned using specialised care processes.
If you notice a stain or accidental damage during your hire, please contact us as soon as possible so we can advise on the best next steps.
Excessive Stains & Odours
Additional cleaning fees may apply for garments returned with excessive staining, odours, or marks requiring specialised treatment. This may include:
- Red wine
- Fake tan or makeup
- Grass or dirt stains
- Smoke or strong perfume odours
Fees will vary depending on the severity of the damage and the treatment required.
Payment
Payment Confirmation
By completing payment, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
You authorise Solea Hire to charge your nominated payment method for the hire fee, security bond (if applicable), and any additional charges incurred under these Terms & Conditions.
Once payment has been processed and the agreed service has been provided, the charge may not be disputed unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
Additional Charges
Any outstanding fees or additional charges incurred during the hire period will be invoiced separately and must be paid within 5 business days of the invoice date.
Failed Payments
If a payment is declined, reversed, or unsuccessful for any reason, it must be rectified within 48 hours. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of your booking.
If your order has already been dispatched, you remain responsible for the full hire amount and any applicable fees, which will be payable via invoice.
Failure to make payment may result in recovery action, including referral to a debt collection agency or legal proceedings. Any costs incurred in recovering outstanding amounts will be the responsibility of the customer.
Accidental Damage
We understand that accidents can happen. If a spill, mark, or damage occurs during your hire period, please contact Solea Hire as soon as possible. The earlier we are informed, the better chance we have of preventing permanent damage to the garment.
Please do not attempt to clean, repair, or alter the garment yourself. Incorrect cleaning methods may worsen stains or damage and could result in additional charges.
Damaged Garments
The following may apply where a garment is returned damaged beyond normal wear:
- Repair Costs:
Clients may be responsible for any repair costs associated with garments returned excessively marked, stained, torn, stretched, or damaged. - Re-rentability Assessment:
Solea Hire will assess whether the garment remains suitable for future rentals. - Irreparable or Unrentable Garments:
If a garment is deemed irreparable or unsuitable for future hire, the client may be charged up to the full replacement value of the garment, as well as any associated loss from cancelled bookings where applicable. - Repairable Damage Affecting Future Rentals:
If the garment can be repaired but the damage impacts future rentals, partial replacement fees may apply in addition to repair costs.

Shipping & Returns
Pricing
We offer a flat-rate shipping fee of $28.99 Australia-wide.
All orders are sent via Australia Post Express Post and include a prepaid return satchel for easy returns.
Delivery
Weekend rentals are typically dispatched on Monday or Tuesday, depending on the return of the previous rental. All orders are shipped from Sydney, NSW (2232).
Estimated delivery times:
- Local Pick-up: if selected pick up will be night before or day of hire start.
- Metro areas: 1–2 business days
- Rural areas: 2–3 business days (estimates may vary)
For delivery estimates specific to your location, please refer to the Australia Post website. Delivery delays may occasionally occur due to weather events, public holidays, or carrier disruptions, which are outside of our control.
Late Arrivals
In the unlikely event that Australia Post delays your order, we will provide a credit for the rental fee, provided the garment is returned unworn, undamaged, and posted back the next business day.
Please note:
- Delays caused by missing ID verification or incorrect address are not eligible for refunds.
- We strongly recommend using a delivery address where someone is available to receive the parcel.
Returns
All garments must be returned by 3:00pm on the next business day following your event.
Returns can be made via:
- Drop-off (by appointment if applicable)
- An Australia Post Office, or
- A YELLOW Express Post Box ONLY
Please do not place returns in a RED post box, as this may delay tracking and result in delays to your return processing.
Failure to return your garment within the agreed hire period may result in a $20 late fee being applied.
Your order includes a prepaid tracked return satchel. Tracking is activated immediately, and if the return parcel is not scanned by Australia Post on the required return date, a late fee may apply.
As many garments are booked for consecutive weekends, timely returns are essential and greatly appreciated. If you anticipate a late return, please contact Solea Hire as soon as possible.
Try-On Appointment Policy
Location
Solea Hire is based in Sydney, NSW. The exact address will be provided upon appointment confirmation.
Appointment Times
Appointment availability is updated weekly via our Instagram story. You are welcome to send us a message with your preferred time, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Item Availability
Clients are welcome to try on any garments available at the time of their appointment. For high-demand pieces, we recommend checking availability in advance to avoid disappointment.
Makeup & Fake Tan
Please attend your appointment without fresh fake tan or heavy makeup, as these products may transfer onto garments. Cleaning fees may apply for any stained or marked items.
Damages
If any damage or staining occurs during your try-on appointment, please notify us immediately. Transparency and honesty are always appreciated.
Cancellations
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please notify Solea Hire as soon as possible.
Guests
You are welcome to bring up to two guests to your appointment. Please let us know in advance so we can prepare accordingly.
Cancellations & Refunds
No refunds will be provided for change of mind, sickness, event cancellations, or incorrect sizing.
We understand that plans can change, so the following cancellation policy applies:
- 96+ hours notice:
Receive a 70% store credit to use towards a future rental. - Less than 96 hours notice:
Unfortunately, the full rental fee is non-refundable. However, you will receive a 30% store credit to use towards a future rental.
All credits issued by Solea Hire are non-transferable and valid for future bookings only.

Liabilities
1. Client Responsibilities
1.1 Garment Care
Clients are responsible for the proper care of rented garments throughout the entire hire period. Garments should be handled with care and protected from damage, staining, excessive wear, or alteration.
1.2 Accurate Sizing
Clients are responsible for selecting the correct size when booking. Solea Hire is not responsible for incorrect sizing selections made by the client.
1.3 Timely Returns
All garments must be returned within the agreed hire period. Late returns may incur additional late fees as outlined in our Returns Policy.
1.4 Identification
Clients may be required to provide valid identification, such as a driver’s licence or government-issued photo ID, prior to order fulfilment.
2. Solea Hire Responsibilities
2.1 Garment Quality
We are committed to providing garments that are professionally cleaned, inspected, and maintained to a high standard before each rental.
2.2 Accurate Descriptions
We strive to ensure all garment descriptions, sizing information, and imagery are accurate and representative of the item. Minor variations in colour or fit may occur.
2.3 Order Fulfilment
We will make all reasonable efforts to fulfil orders as confirmed at the time of booking, including dispatching garments within the agreed timeframe.
3. Liability Limitations
3.1 General Wear & Tear
Clients will not be held responsible for minor general wear and tear resulting from normal use of the garment.
3.2 Force Majeure
Solea Hire is not liable for delays or failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, carrier delays, government restrictions, severe weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.
4. Reporting Issues
4.1 Damage or Concerns
Any issues, faults, or damage with a garment must be reported to Solea Hire immediately upon receiving the order. Failure to report issues upon delivery may result in the assumption that the garment was received in satisfactory condition.
Extra T&C's
Condition of Rental Items
Hired garments may show minor signs of wear and tear, which do not qualify for a refund. As part of normal use, some items may have small repairs from previous hires, including discreet stitching where minor damage has occurred.
If your item arrives with any noticeable damage (such as stains), you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery and prior to wearing the garment so we can assist with a resolution.
If you notify us of the issue and still choose to wear the garment, we may offer store credit or a partial refund at our discretion. You will not be held responsible for any pre-existing damage.
Once the garment is returned, it will be assessed to determine whether a refund, partial refund, or store credit is applicable.
Natural Disaster Policy
If your event is cancelled due to a natural disaster or unforeseen event outside of your control (including, but not limited to, pandemics, government restrictions, floods, or severe weather), you may be eligible for store credit equal to the amount paid.
If your order has already been dispatched, the garment must be returned within 24 hours of cancellation to qualify for store credit.
Store credit approvals are assessed on a case-by-case basis and may require supporting documentation.
International Travel
Our hire service is available within Australia only.
If you intend to travel internationally with one of our garments, you must obtain written approval from us prior to booking.
Any loss, theft, damage, or failure to return the garment while overseas is the full responsibility of the customer.
We reserve the right to request an international security bond prior to dispatch. Any bond paid will be refunded once the garment has been returned and successfully passed inspection.

Yes! Our pieces are available for a wide range of occasions including weddings, birthdays, formals, events, holidays, and content creation.
How should I care for the garment during my hire?
Please avoid contact with fresh or heavy fake tan, heavy makeup, oils, perfumes, smoke, and sharp jewellery. Do not attempt to wash or alter the garment yourself.
What is your cancellation policy?
- Cancellations made more than 96 hours before the booking start date will receive a 70% store credit.
- Cancellations made within 96 hours of the booking start date are non-refundable but will receive a 30% store credit.
Store credits are valid for future rentals only.
Do you offer postage Australia-wide?

What happens if my parcel is delayed?
If Australia Post delays your order and the garment does not arrive in time for your event, we will credit your rental fee provided the item is returned unworn, undamaged, and posted back the next business day.

Yes! Solea Hire offers private try-on appointments based in Sydney, NSW. Availability is updated weekly via our booking system & Instagram story. Simply book online or send us a message to arrange a time.
What happens if the dress doesn’t fit?
We recommend checking all sizing information carefully before booking. While we are always happy to assist with sizing advice, clients are ultimately responsible for selecting the correct size. Refunds are not provided for incorrect sizing selections.
